Design of a Robotic Helpmate

Any practical use of autonomous robots requires the capacity to recognize and avoid obstacles in real time. As a result, numerous solutions to this issue have been put up. Unfortunately, the majority of these methods need a significant amount of processing, which makes them challenging, if not impossible, to implement on low-cost control systems based on microcontrollers. A self-navigating, obstacle-detecting robot was created in this research paper. The robot detects and steers clear of obstacles using ultrasonic and infrared sensors. A robot navigation algorithm was developed and integrated into the Arduino. Four dc motors were employed to drive the wheels. There were two wheels in the back and two in the front of the robot. The implementation of our own monitoring system for home security is also handled by this robot. The IoT-based solution makes use of an ESP32 camera module. The suggested technology protects a home by spotting an intruder inside and streaming the video live. This robot is interactive and serves as a nursing aid by keeping track of the patient’s vital signs, such as heart rate.
