A Smart Energy Management System Utilizing the Internet of Things and Big Data analytical Technique

A smarter energy management (SEM) system can help to reduce the expenditures even while providing the necessary power. The Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data (BD) are the two developing techniques that have a potential to effectively manage energy usage in the household, corporate and manufacturing domains. In present study, an energy managing (EM) strategy for smart houses is outlined. Every household appliance under this system is connected to a data acquisition (DA) system, an IoT item with a distinct IP address, creating a sizable meshy wireless networking appliance. Every smart home device's energy usage data is collected by the DA system on chip (SOC) unit, which then sends the information to a central server for additional evaluation and processing. This data is stored on the utility's server as BD across all residences. To more efficiently control energy utilization and satisfy customer request, the suggested EM system makes use of commercially available Corporate Intellect (CI) and BD analytical software packages. In order to verify the suggested system, HV A-c (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) units were used as a test case because air conditioning accounts for majority of power use. IoT also makes it possible for the users to easily manage their household appliances from a remote using a smartphone. Through a mobile app with user-friendly interface, the proposed system enables consumers to remotely inspect and operate the device along with generating bills through online mode.
