Reliability study on fatigue life of axles of square bale pick-up and stacker trucks

The high reliability of axles of square bale picking and palletizing truck in the working process is important. In this paper, reliability analysis of square bale pick-up and stacker trucks is performed. Firstly, the multi-body dynamics simulation software Adams is used to carry out the multi-body dynamics simulation of the square bale picking and palletizing truck to obtain the load on the axle during the working process. Secondly, the ANSYS software combined with Ncode software are used to analyze the fatigue life of axle. Thirdly, the response surface optimization method and the Six Sigma method are used to analyze the fatigue resistance and reliability. The results show that the optimized axle fatigue life is 2.74 x109 and reliability is 0.9993 , which meet the requirements of the pallet truck axles for square bale picking.
