A probabilistic constant amplitude lifetime diagram modeling method considering spatial mapping relation

Conventional constant amplitude life diagrams model cannot reasonably describe mean stress effect and stochastic uncertainty present in the fatigue failure process of composite materials. To address this problem, taking the spatial mapping relationship between probabilistic S-N curves and probabilistic constant amplitude life diagram model as an entry point, a probabilistic constant amplitude life diagram modelling method is proposed under the assumption of linear equations and the assumption of equiprobable quantile point between static strength distributions and fatigue life distributions. The validity of the method is verified by fatigue test data of glass fiber/polyester resin composites. The results indicate that the proposed method can offer an accurate description of the probabilistic behavior of composite materials.
