Development of UAV Deployment System using Split Ring Compound Planetary Gear System

Drones are consequently gaining popularity in autonomous sampling operations and load transporting systems due to their high efficiency and low risk. They are typically equipped with a winch or deployment system that transports certain cargoes. In this paper, the team aimed to design a UAV deployment method utilizing compound split-ring planetary gear capable of supporting a minimum load of 5 kg and a lifting rate of 5cm/s. High torque gearbox, motor selection, rigidity, capacity for rope, precision control, and payload were all considered to achieve this.
