Artificial Intelligence for Developing Countries: Philippine Context

This paper explores the impact of Artificial Intelligence on how it could affect developing countries like the Philippines. Drawing from the perspective of the currently best performing AI model called supervised deep learning. We tackle its limitation, its implication, and how can it affect society. We then tackle the aspect of how it would specifically a developing country such as the Philippines. This paper suggests three ways of preparing for the future economy: (1) Framework of the hierarchy of control, (2) Allocated funds for re-training by focusing on the value-chain of the care industry, and (3) Reverting the purpose of a university to its roots.
