Prototype of Plant Disease Detection Using IoT

Three-fourths of the people in India are employed in agriculture. Farmers will cultivate a range of plants in the fields depending on the environment and other resources at their disposal. But technological know-how and support are needed to attain tremendous productivity and remarkable quality. Careful surveillance is required when managing food crops, especially when treating diseases that will have negative repercussions after harvest. Disease in plants is described as a modification of or absence from a plant's typical physiological functions, which will cause specific symptoms. The disease-causing agents that affect plants are typically thought of as pathogens. The bulk of these pathogen agents’ symptoms can be discovered on the crop’ leaves, stems, and branches. Therefore, determining the prevalence of disease in crops and its diagnosis is crucial for effective and fruitful plant production. Due to the challenges as mentioned above and issues, this idea won't be a helpful remedy. This proposed work primary objective is to do away with the need to carry plants to labs by keeping farmer duties at home simpler and more accessible. Utilizing IoT as the technology, this study developed a model to display the disease as it manifests itself on the parts of a plant. Furthermore, it shows the exposed diseased locations, predicts their treatments, and turns on the pesticide sprayer to spray a certain pesticide on the exposed diseased areas. Sensors have been put in place to help determine the nutrients present in the soil. This initiative will let farmers learn the yields of their crop illness before it grows in the agricultural area, allowing them make the right choices.
