Development of Models of Secretly Influence on the Wireless Networks Infrastructure Using Signal-Like Interference and Evaluation of Their Resistance to Detection

The object of research is IEEE 802.11 wireless networks, a physical environment of information interaction. The subject of the research is the effectiveness of covert influence on the infrastructure of wireless networks using signal–like interference. The purpose of the research is to develop the models of signal–like interference; methods and means of their creation, application scenarios; assessment of the stability of the generated signal-like interference and methods of their application to detection. The article analyzes scenarios in which, according to the 802.11 standard, information interaction sessions are destroyed by sending deauthentication frames. The developed hardware and software complex records such interaction, which is subsequently used as a signal-like interference. USRP NI 2901 acts as the hardware basis for recording and broadcasting signal samples, and NI LabVIEW 2018 acts as the software basis, with the help of which the USRP equipment is configured and controlled. Based on the analysis of numerous sources and the results of our own experimental researches, a system of signs used in the work to assess the stability of a signal-like interference to detection has been formed. The results of the study can be applied when setting up automatic network administration systems (IDS/IPS systems), which will allow timely detection of the impact, increasing the security of wireless communication networks.
