Experimental Demonstration of Optical Eavesdropping Detection based on the Backpropagation Neural Network for Coherent Optical Communication Systems

We propose an optical eavesdropping detection scheme based on the backpropagation neural network for 16QAM coherent optical communication systems. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can achieve more than 99% accuracy on eavesdropping detection even if the optical leakage is only 1%.
