A Transformerless High Gain DC-DC Converter with Two Inductor Structure for DC Microgrid System

The DC microgrid system contributes the stage to utilise the non-conventional sources like solar-PV, fuel cells etc. However, due to lower voltage profile of renewable sources, large gain DC-DC converters remain currently popular in microgrid application. A non-isolated dual inductor based large gain DC-DC converter is familiarized in this paper. The switches present in converter are well capable to operate with variable duty ratios, which is one of the potential benefits of this converter. The converter is not using any kind of voltage multiplier cell to attain high gain of voltage. The examination of the presented converter is deliberated thoroughly, simulation/experimental results have been narrated to confirm the converter operation.
