Design and Dynamic Response of FOGI-FLL Based Controller in Grid Tied Solar PV System

A grid-interfaced solar photovoltaic (SPV) topology has recently gained popularity as it has a vast potential in minimizing the cost for the establishment and can help in cost cutting due to losses in the system. An innovative system of strategy associated with grid-connected SPV framework is being introduced in this paper. This paper shows a mix of algorithm of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and a four ordered generalized integrator frequency locked loop (FOGI-FLL), which shows a better performance in terms of transients of current and voltage outputs and also harness best possible yield of power from SPV system. Typically synchronization and generation of in-phase and quadrature templates are performed utilizing Frequency-locked loop (FLL) circuits. Nevertheless, in this paper load compensation, power quality improvement, and phase-frequency estimation are shown with intriguing utilization of FLL. The simulation results shows that the MPPT algorithm harness best possible yield of power from the PV framework, while maintaining steady transients for output signal. The proposed control with voltage source converter (VSC) compensates the voltage and current harmonics due to unbalanced load that keeps overall harmonic distortion for the system at less than 5%, which is within the IEEE-519 acceptable limit.
