Design and Analysis of High-Speed All-Optical Logic Gate with Various Pulse Generators

In this paper, an application of SOA nonlinearity is utilised to develop all-optical devices in order to support ultra-fast computing. An all-optical logic gate has been designed with reflective semiconductor optical amplifier and the results are verified with the designed code converter. The proposed code converter converts octal inputs into binary inputs to support computer and aviation application sectors. The proposed design is verified with the calculated quality factor and BER values.
