The Novel Approaches in Monitoring and Controlling Hydroponic Greenhouse Systems: A Literature Review

This paper reviews the hydroponic greenhouse system adapting various emerging technologies. The content of the paper discusses the common hydroponic farming methods and highlights what prevents the system from adequately controlling and monitoring the plants. This paper identifies the current research areas in a hydroponic system, such as Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and Machine Learning (ML) which were found as solutions which can be employed to address the identified issues and challenges. The researcher wants to investigate a more in-depth discussion on the soft sensor method for advanced estimating algorithms and support in making agricultural decisions.
