Early Flood Detection and Environment Monitoring System

The goal of the proposed work is to develop an early flood detection and environment monitoring system utilizing IoT is to create a system that includes a sensor, a transceiver to transfer data, and a computing device to monitor and predict floods. The statistics on the water level, temperature, and water velocity are all extremely important for predicting the flood calamity. The basic operation of this system begins with sensors gathering flood parameters at a particular place. Next, the nodes transmit these parameters to the base station. Finally, the base station receives these parameters from the nodes. The system will automatically determine whether or not the measured parameter is above or below the threshold value that have established for the potential for a flood disaster. In the event that the values being measured are greater than the threshold values that have been established, an alarm message will be generated. The dam gates are controlled accordingly. Additionally, the environment monitoring is done in the premises of the reservoir by monitoring the humidity and temperature using DHT11 sensors and displaying in LCD, the pH of the reservoir is monitored to so that aquatic life in reservoir is maintained, sometimes it may happen that in hydroelectric power plant malfunction may occur due to which the short circuit may occur leading to fire outbreak to detect and avoid the fire outbreak the smoke sensor is used in the system to detect the smoke alert and concerned authorities.
