A GUI-based Low-Code Development Platform for Power Systems Analysis

Simulation and analysis software is of central importance in power system design, planning and operations. Nowadays, most commercial or open source products are either expensive and inextensible or lack of a neat interactive interface. In this paper, we introduce a graphical user interface (GUI) based platform for modeling and analyzing of electrical power systems, especially for the widespread integration of renewable energy. In particular, the simulation and analysis platform is derived from employing the low-code software development technique that enables less costly programs and shorter developing cycle. In addition to supporting user interface, drag-and-drop components and flexible expansion, the developed platform allows to access to external data sources and other open source libraries by providing various interface services of communication protocols and application programmings.
