Internet of Things (IoT) and Immersive Technology based Extended Reality in Healthcare

The immersive technologies have emerged as key players in the modern technology sectors for different challenging applications. The healthcare sector is facing many such challenging scenarios, where the immersive technologies can play very constructive roles. Similarly, the Internet of things (IoT) has emerged as an advanced technology for sensing and actuation. It provides several advantages in almost all the fields of applications. IoT has a lot of applications in healthcare sector. When combined together, IoT and immersive technologies are able to carry out several wonderful tasks which are not possible by their alternatives. This research work study and analyze the advantages of IoT and immersive technologies in the healthcare sector. Finally, the combination of these two makes it possible to perform several critical functions in the healthcare applications. Extended reality becomes a true manifestation in medical applications when IoT aides the immersive technologies in healthcare.
