Design a High-efficiency Adaption Circuit for Current Transformer Induction Power

With the intelligent development of the power grid, there are more and more intelligent monitoring equipment, and current transformer induction power supply (as C.T. induction power) as a common power supply method. Under the condition of low current of power cable lines, ordinary C.T. power have problems such as small output power and low conversion efficiency. The author’s team has studied the output power and load characteristics of C.T. under the low working conditions of power cable lines. It is summarized that the output efficiency of the incoming C.T. under different loads is characterized by nonlinear variation. On this basis, the author team designed a simple, efficient rectifier voltage regulator circuit, which has an active power adjustment function, so that C.T. induction power has a good output efficiency no matter what kind of working conditions. Finally, through some tests, it also confirms that the circuit has the advantages of high conversion efficiency, low static power consumption and perfect protection function.
