Research and Trials of 5G SA Network Performance

In China, 5G has already started to be commercially available in 2019, with rapid deployment initially through NSA networking and SA being the target network architecture for the evolutionary development of 5G networks. To meet the needs of diverse 5G application scenarios, the key performance indicators of 5G have become more diversified. The ITU has defined eight key performance indicators for 5G, of which high speed, low latency and large connectivity become the most prominent features of 5G, and the choice of networking method directly affects the performance of 5G. The article focuses on the 5G network architecture, including NSA and SA networking. The network trial uses the SA network architecture. NR latency performance verification is carried out for control plane latency and user plane latency, and NR coverage verification is carried out for DT testing of multiple cells and CQT testing of single cells, which can provide reference for operators' network deployment and network performance optimization.
