Array Arrangement of Octagonal Chipless RFID Tag for Read Range Enhancement

In this paper, the concept of array configurations of chipless RFID tags is presented. The proposed tag consists of eleven concentric octagonal resonators. The symmetrical structure of the tag makes it orientation-independent. The tag also has a high coding capacity of 1 0 bits. The tag resonator is placed in 2 x 2 array configuration to enhance RCS response and hence,achieved a long-read range.
