Tools for Social Network Analysis and Mining

A social network shows the relations that exist between people or organizations and how they are connected through social familiarities. Huge amounts of data about users and their relationships with each other are stored on social networking sites. Because this data is too large, messy, and unstructured., it must be mined in order to retrieve usable information. Many tools and approaches for social network analysis and mining exist to understand various network properties and analyse the results visually or statistically. This paper presents the overview of social networks analysis approaches. It also gives a brief overview of few tools and popular languages for social network analysis.
