Ultra-Wide Bandwidth Substrate Integrated Waveguide Fed Vivaldi Antenna in D-Band Using Glass Interposer

This paper discusses a highly directive Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) based Vivaldi antenna in D-band, integrated in a glass interposer. Proposed antenna has a wide bandwidth covering almost the entire D-band from 110 - 163 GHz, with a peak gain of 9.02 dB at 137.2 GHz. Beyond 100 GHz, the dimensions of the SIW in glass are small and thus are convenient to feed antennas for smart devices. The antipodal corrugations present on the arms of the Vivaldi antenna improve the characteristics of the proposed antenna. The SIWs are built on a 2-metal layer stack-up with a

of ABF GL-102 laminated on either side of the glass substrate.
