Predictive Control of the Converter Inlet Temperature in the Flue Gas Acid-making Based on Wiener Model

In this paper, for the conversion rate of the flue gas acid-making, a predictive control strategy for the inlet temperature of the converter is studied. First, a nonlinear Wiener model is established for process control, which can well characterize the non-linear change of process temperature. Second, a model predictive control method based on the Wiener inverse model is proposed. The process theory is used to realize the effective control of the inlet temperature of the converter, thereby ensuring the conversion rate of the sulphuric acid process. Finally, the Wiener model predictive control (WMPC) is evaluated experimentally and compared with proportional integral derivative (PID) strategy. The simulation results show that the WMPC outperforms the PID controller.
