Adaptive fuzzy fixed-time congestion control for TCP/AWM networks

This paper investigates the fixed-time congestion control problem for a class of TCP/AWM networks. Inspired by existing network models, a modified TCP/AWM network model with the variable number of TCP sessions and the external disturbance is first established. Moreover, fuzzy logic systems and bound estimation method are respectively introduced to deal with the nonlinear functions and the external disturbance in the system. At the same time, a new performance function, called fixed-time performance function, is first defined in this paper, where combining it with prescribed performance control guarantees that the desired queue length is tracked by the queue length in fixed-time. In addition, the proposed congestion control algorithm with the aid of backstepping technique can ensure that all the signals of the closed-loop system remain semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded. Finally, a set of simulation studies are provided to clarify the effectiveness and superiority of the designed congestion controller.
