A Raspberry Pie Security Device Using VPN and Adblocker

The main purpose of this research is to develop a security device using internet of things (IoT). This security device is built using several open source components which are free for people to use and accordingly enhances their internet security. The main tools that are used to build this security device are Pi-Hole and PiVPN. In addition, Zeek is also used to monitor the network traffic of the device. Pi-Hole is used to block the advertisement and PiVPN is used to provide a secure virtual private network connection for user. The proposed device is providing a secure network for people to use with capabilities of preventing unnecessary and inappropriate advertisement popping when adult or kids are online surfing the internet.
