Secured Authentication Schemes of 6G Driven Vehicular Communication Network in Industry 5.0 Internet-of-Everything (IoE) Applications: Challenges and Opportunities

6G in an emerging technology which can handle the automated vehicular communication environment well. It is a promising technology which can result in facilitating low-latency, less communication overheads, etc. Security and privacy is the major challenge faced in 6G environment due to its dynamic environment. Numerous technologies can be deployed to overcome the problem such as Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, etc. Traditional ML techniques were deployed earlier but due to increasing vehicles on road and with numerous connected IoT devices, it has become very difficult to identify a true and reliable source of data which is floated wirelessly over the network. We provide an overview of various authentication schemes proposed over time which are used in 6G IoE-based vehicular communication environment. In the context of 6G vehicular communication, we discussed potential privacy uses of the Internet-of-Everything (IoE) and open research issues on privacy preservation.
