Estimation of Rayleigh Process Parameters Using Classical and Intelligent Methods with Application

In this paper, in this paper, the parameters of the Rayleigh process in the non-homogeneous Poisson process were estimated using the GWO method and the PSO method and compared with the maximum likelihood estimation method. It is found that GWO method can guarantee more accurate results with rapid convergence to the maximum value of the function in less iterations in comparison to the classical Maximum Likelihood Estimation method (MLE). Moreover, the simulated estimates for the parameter by GWO shows more satisfactory results than the other methods. Finally, the idea and results of this paper is applied to a real-life application, which studies the intervals between successive failures in days for the Badush Cement Factory in Nineveh Governorate during the period from 1/4/2018 to 31/1/2019.
