High Performance Current-Mode Four Quadrant Analog Multiplier Circuit

This work proposes a novel Four Quadrant Analog Multiplier (FQAM) circuit. The circuit is based on a current-mode analog building block. It employs two NMOS transistors and one extra-X current conveyor (EX-CCII). The suggested circuit is CMOS-only and is therefore simple to integrate. The circuit exhibits its output at high impedance Z terminals, which is helpful for cascading with other current mode circuits. Hence the proposed circuit does not need any additional buffer. The circuit operates at low supply voltage, exhibits good bandwidth and linearity range. PSPICE simulation is performed to verify the circuit using the 180 nm CMOS technology and ±0.5 V supply voltage.
