Cluster Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Electromagnetic Calculations and Applications

The paper analyses the electromagnetic scattering calculation of a typical fixed-wing UAV target “Gremlin” from the perspective of aerial target detection and tracking, using the Multilevel Fast Multi-pole Method for the calculation of electro-magnetic scattering of “Gremlin” in single and cluster situations, and the calculation results are verified by an inverse synthetic aperture radar imaging method. Through the above research and analysis, the electromagnetic scattering characteristics and imaging laws of the relevant targets are summarised, so that the detection and tracking effects of radar on such UAV targets can be more realistically simulated.
