Comparative analysis of wound healing rate by edge detection for skin wounds using Novel Prewitt method and Canny method to improve accuracy. Novel Prewitt method and Canny edge detection transform method were applied to 12 wound images with image size

. The group 1 with 12 samples of Canny transform and group 2 with 12 samples of Prewitt transform are taken with Gpower of 80 % for the system and with an error correction of 0.5. It is observed that the Novel Prewitt method of edge detection algorithm has higher accuracy in wound healing rate accuracy of 92.10 % than canny method accuracy of 89.90 % and significance (p ¡ 0.01) through SPSS tool. It is found that Novel Prewitt method gives significantly more accuracy of healing rate compared to Canny operators.
