EEG based Brain-Computer Interfacing for Controlling Wheelchair

Engineering faces an interdisciplinary problem in aiding patients with severe neurological conditions that impede their ability to move independently. EEG-based brain-computer interfaces (BCI) are difficult to employ because numerous electrode montage is time-consuming. This project aims to expand patient access to BCI systems by developing a wheelchair that is driven by an algorithm employing alpha waves and lesser electrodes. The suggested system may be useful for those whose body-closing, incurable illnesses make it difficult for them to communicate with others outside of their immediate environment.
