Modelling and Implementing an Energy-Optimised IoT Architecture for Smart Homes

Nowadays, the modelling and design of connected, comfort, secured and energy-efficient smart homes is gaining the attention of researchers. One of the recent paradigms allowing the development of the concept of smart homes is the internet of things (IoT). This paper illustrates the use of IoT devices for energy management in smart homes. It proposes a solution that combines intelligent IoT devices for the efficient use of resources, such as electrical energy and water. The results affirm the robustness of the suggested model compared to the usual behaviour of consumption of resources by the users in homes.
