High Performance Computing for Wireless Sensor Network Node

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) deployed in some typical applications have high performance computational requirements for processing the data captured. In such applications, immediate processing of the data becomes necessary. The present work proposes and evaluates a modified roofline model to be adopted in WSN modes. In this model, an accelerator p is also embedded along with embedded processor. The simulation results shows that there are two threshold points after which the performance of node improves. The designer can tune the performance of node by adjusting associated parameters like data rate, nature of application etc.
