Design and Analysis of Class AB RFC OTA with Improved Performance

In this work, the class AB Recycling Folded Cascode (RFC) structure of Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA) is proposed which enhances the performance of conventional RFC OTA. Class AB unity gain buffers based differential input stage has been used in the proposed circuit. The source degeneration transistors are embedded to boost the linearity of proposed OTA. Additionally, positive feedback at load and DTMOS transistors at input stage are also implemented which further improve the transconductance and bandwidth of the proposed RFC OTA. The proposed RFC OTA is implemented using Tanner EDA tool with 180 nm CMOS technology which provides the gain of 73.60 dB and unity gain bandwidth of 5.18 MHz. The supply voltage of ±0.5V is used to design the proposed amplifier.
