Optimization of Handover Margin and Call Drop Rate in LTE Network

Selection of an adequate and suitable modulation technique in wireless communication systems is of paramount importance; the paper presents the modulation technique with the lowest bit error rate &investigates whether it is capable of providing required data rate in LTE systems. In the present research paper the authors have proposed optimized handover margin and call drop calculation for LTE based system. Orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) is used as the modulation technique in LTE. It allows for several users to share a single channel while yet providing the necessary spectral efficiency for large data rates. OFDM divides a given channel into many narrower subcarriers. The LTE's functionality and dependability must be taken into account. Indicators of LTE performance and dependability include the handover rate and the call drop rate. In LTE, handover happens when a device travels from one cell service area to another; throughout this transition, the user's established session must continue uninterrupted. The rate at which a call is dropped is known as the call dropping rate. The speed of the user affects both call drop and HOM. Such research is supposed to play significant role in providing better LTE solution.
