A Dual-Frequency Antenna of Microstrip Characteristics Having with π–shaped Slot for Wireless Communication Application

In this paper, an inset-fed antenna with microstrip characteristics has been proposed which resonates at dual-frequencies of 1.59 GHz and 1.94 GHz due to a π-shaped slot created in the rectangular element of radiation which has a physical size of 50×75 mm². The antenna which is proposed demonstrates correct gain characteristics and appropriate pattern of radiation at the wireless application such as PCS 1900 (1.94 GHz).
