A Multilayer Stretchable Triboelectric Nanogenerator Based on Metal-Organic Framework for Wearable Self-Powered Biomotion and Tactile Sensors

Herein, a stretchable multilayered triboelectric nanogenerator (M-TENG) using a metal-organic framework (MOF-525)@Ecoflex with a layer of cobalt nanoporous carbon (Co-NPC)@Ecoflex@MXene is firstly developed. MOF-525 improves the function of the M-TENG by providing high charge accumulation. The porous structure of the Co-NPC acts as a charge trap, boosting high charge-trapping capability while MXene nanosheets also form microcapacitor and improve the transport of ions inside the hybrid layer. , sensitivity (149 V/KPa), and stretchability (245%). Moreover, the M-TENG manifests a self-powered biomotion, high-precision character recognition, a self-powered tactile sensor, and car control by tracing fingers.
