Design of a new floating memristance based on Current Feedback Opamps using the commercially available IC's

A new floating memristor circuit based on current feedback op amp (CFOA) and passive elements designed using the commercially available ICs is introduced. Characteristics of the circuit are described using mathematical and theoretical derivations. Commercially available components are used to build the hardware of the proposed circuit showing its prominent features. LTSPICE simulations are performed to validate the workability of the proposed circuit. Frequency-dependent pinched hysteresis loop which is considered to be the “signature” of the memristor is obtained in all of the results. Simulation results demonstrated that memristor characteristics are obtained in CFOA-based circuits. It has a frequency range of up to 80KHz.
