Application of Pop-Up Learning Laboratories in Electrical Engineering Distance Education

The base components of the concept of “Pop-Up Learning Lab” in engineering education including the purpose, learning methodologies, and the results of the concept implementation are presented in the article. It's proposed to consider the “Pop-Up Learning Lab” as a unique educational environment for the development of scientific and research competencies of future specialists. It's shown that the implementation of the concept provides the use of a project-based learning approach and it's available in the condition of distance education. Examples of practical implementation of the concept of “Pop-Up Learning Lab” in electrical engineering education are given. The possibility of teaching international and multilingual students remotely in the creation of their own Pop-Up Labs, and the joining efforts of several universities, including universities abroad, is shown.
