All-printable flexible photo-thermoelectric broadband terahertz and millimeter-waves imagers with carbon nanotubes

This paper realizes the development of all-printable photo-thermoelectric broadband terahertz (THz) and millimeter-waves (MMW) imagers. The device consists of flexible carbon nanotube (CNT) film channels, and they exhibit high efficient absorption characteristics in broad THz-MMW regions. The use of ink-jet printing in the device fabrication allows mechanical alignment of each device component materials. The use of the enriched CNT solution suitable for the printing process exhibits sensitive THz-MMW detection, and this paper also successfully demonstrates the fundamental sub-THz imaging inspection application with the all-printable imager.
