(SS) DRC, hot crucuble for fresh ideas

I gave my paper for SSDRC for the first time in 1963, when it was held in the Kellogg Center, Michigan State University, East Lansing. On the night of June 12, there was the RUMP SESSION on the junction laser. My memories of the event will be mentioned in some detail.
