Celebrating the Magazine's Second Anniversary[Editor's Column]

With this winter issue the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine becomes 2 years old. Since its first issue in spring 2009 the Magazine has developed quite remarkably. Most importantly, the Magazine has found broad acceptance in our society. One indicator for this is the increasing number of paper submissions which has more than tripled within the last year. This quite impressive increase is still continuing.
