Effect of induced lateral dielectric modulation on gain nonlinearity in stripe semiconductor lasers

It is shown by a simple theory that for stripe semiconductor lasers, the lateral dielectric modulation induced by lateral laser field nonuniformity will apparently increase the gain nonlinearity.<
