An active load single-ended double flipped voltage follower amplifier and its application

In this paper, an active load single-ended double flipped voltage follower (SEDDFVF) amplifier is proposed. Flipped voltage follower cell is used in amplifiers to stabilize the DC point for achieving desirable gain as well as used in analog design of low power and low voltage. The single ended differential amplifier abstracted from the basic structure enhances the bandwidth. Using frequency domain and phase margin analysis, the stability of the proposed circuit has been presented. The results are simulated using SPICE in TSMC 0.18 μm technology. Moreover, small signal analysis is also obtained for mathematical verification of the designed circuit. For physical verification of the proposed circuit, using SCMOS technique, the layout of the cell is implemented at 1.2 μm tanner database file which is scaled to 0.18 um. In end design rule check as well as LVS is also performed for the verification of matching of schematic of the cell to the layout of the cell. All the observations are shown in graphs to evidence the practicality of the proposed cell.
