Noise reduction of the RFID marker localization signals by digital processing

This paper describes actual problem — the increasing of detection range of the passive single bit inductively coupled RFID transponders commonly called markers. The markers are being widely used to mark the position of underground networks such as cables, pipes etc. For digital processing and noise reduction of signals from the markers two methods will be described. The first method — triple summation — goes out from the well-known double integration principle used in analog-to-digital converters modified by the division of integration (i. e. summation in the case of digital signal processing) time to the three intervals instead of two. The second method is classical application of signal filtering by bandpass IIR filter. Both method will be applied on the real signal responses from the marker recorded by digital oscilloscope.
