Enhanced bandwidth patch antennas with artificial dielectric substrates for high precision satellite positioning

Technologically efficient light weight patch antennas with artificial dielectric substrates comprising periodic metal ribs or pins structures have been considered. Antenna Q-factor and substrate dispersion estimates are provided and molded and stamped substrate structures are synthesized. Antenna implementation examples for full wave high-precision user satellite positioning equipment applications are shown.
