Bird flying track estimation based on single marine radar

Avian radar surveillance system used to monitor bird movements can effectively prevent bird strikes. Due to most airport companies' demand of low-cost avian radar detection, here an avian radar system based on single marine radar is developed by tilting the antenna part. Meanwhile a scheme for bird flying track estimation is presented, using linear neutral regression method to extract three-dimensional (3D) information of birds. The method is verified by Monte-Carlo simulation and experimental results.
