Correlation and diamonds used to confound intrusion

German firm Siemens has signed a multi-million dollar deal to acquire PhotonicBridges, a Chinese company that develops optical transmissions systems equipment using a technology called synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH). Financial details were not available, but the purchase signals Siemens's commitment to establishing its presence in China's emerging high-tech manufacturing market. But Siemens is not stopping there, saying observers should expect a major deal in the next 12 to 24 months.
