Nonlinear and dispersive properties of microresonators for enhanced phase sensitivity, and nonlinear optical pulse on a chip

We report on the enhancement of linear and nonlinear phase sensitivity in a 10 micron sized microring resonator. The increased dispersive and nonlinear properties can be used for optical switching and exotic nonlinear optical pulse propagation on a chip.
