The universal discharge mechanism in mineral oil and possible estimation of its breakdown voltage

The complex experimental studies of the discharge mechanism in transformer oil using of alternative diagnostic methods under positive lightning impulse were carried out. The attempt to establish connection between the macroscopic features of discharge and the breakdown were made.
