Vibration Analysis on Six-wheel Landing Gear Induced by Anti-skid Brake

This article investigates vibration on six-wheel main landing gear induced by anti-skid brake based on rigid-flexible dynamic model and co-simulation. During braking, tire-runway interface friction would couple with aircraft anti-skid brake system, resulting in periodic change of torque on multi-wheel landing gear, inducing vibration in aircraft forward direction also called longitudinal direction, and in vertical direction. To analyze characteristics of the vibration above, rigid-flexible dynamic model of landing gear with flexible main strut has been created in LMS Virtual.Lab Motion and used as a part of co-simulation model in Matlab. By comparing influence on brake-induced vibration of changes in brake amplitude, frequency and main strut’s property of material, vibration characteristics are obtained, providing a foundation for optimum design of landing gear structure and algorithm optimization of anti-skid control law.
